REAL-TIME SAMPLING
Cobra Plug-In GPR uses Real Time Sampling of the radar signal. Today, major manufacturers use traditional spaced sequential sampling, which simply gives a downconverted copy of the actual signal.
Real-Time Sampling delivers 32,000 stacks per second, resulting in an incredible signal-to-noise ratio of 45 db.
Note that an increase S/N ratio of just 30 db is roughly twice the penetration ability of a typical conventional GPR system.
A low voltage transmitter reduces power consumption and eliminates stealing. The use of power-hungry, high-voltage transmitters is no longer necessary; In this case the power of the transmitter must be increased by a factor of 32,000 to be comparable!

REAL-TIME SAMPLING ADVANTAGE
In February 2012, we conducted a comparison study between COBRA PLUG-IN GPR, Real-Time Sampling GPR and traditional Sequential / Middleware Sampling GPR, GSSI SIR-3000 GPR.
The performance study was conducted on the same day, on an ice road crossing the Lule River, and the same SE-150 model antennas were used.

WIRELESS
The wireless Bluetooth connection between the GPR and the control unit replaces interfering coaxial cables and fragile fiber optic connections. An ultra-Rugged Mesa PDA with embedded software is used for data collection. Data is stored in the standard SEGY geophysical format.
The complete GPR unit attaches to a single SUBECHO Antenna, any selectable model. No need for bistatic configuration.
All SUBECHO antennas can be used in airborne and air-linked operation and in all types of terrain. No need to cut trails anymore, ground-bound snake antennas had no passage problems even in dense shrub vegetation. Raise the antenna above the bushes, or in the worst case, use an octocopter UAV to transport the small and compact Cobra Attachment.
Wireless operation, hand-held data logger, low power consumption and air-mounted antenna add flexibility, ruggedness and durability and the most compact and deepest penetrating GPR system on the market.

APPLICATION and areas of use
COBRA PLUG-IN GPR can be used to see inside very deep materials and structures up to a depth of 120 m.

GEOTECHNICAL SAFETY PRACTICES

Geotechnical stratigraphy and soil structure studies. Depth to bedrock;
